On the 15th of December Holland who is widely known as 'Korea's first openly gay K-pop star' to many fans came to preform in London for the first time. Many fans came to the show in support of Holland for being the face of change in a very challenging industry.
Hollands performances were absolutely stunning and i loved every second of his show, from the flawless vocals to the iconic outfit changes.
Holland said he was surprised that so many people came to see him, since it was his first time performing here. I, a Harling from the day of debut was not at all surprised, the Harling fanbase is forever loving and grateful for an idol to represent them. An Idol bringing acceptance and inclusion first hand to an industry they already love so much.
Although being gay or a part of the LGBTQ+ community is not very taboo here in the UK the same cant be said in many Asian countries, as a member of the Queer community myself it is refreshing to see someone be so unapologetic about being themselves irregardless of what people think. I believe that Hollands journey will help other men and women have the confidence to be themselves young or old.
Holland Harling Love You & Thank You For Our Invitation From Neverland.
